  • Friends of Moccasin Bend 
    The Friends of Moccasin Bend, in partnership with the National Park Service, work to provide the highest level of preservation, protection, management and interpretation of the cultural, historical and natural resources of approximately 755 acres of national park land.
  • Outdoor Chattanooga
    A comprehensive Strategic Plan for Outdoor Recreation in the Chattanooga Region was shaped during a region-wide planning effort (October 2003 - January 2004), in which well over 1,000 citizens participated, sharing their ideas and concerns in a series of public meetings and work sessions. Outdoor Chattanooga was formed as a direct response to this initiative. It was established as a regional mechanism with facilities dedicated to the recreational use, education, and stewardship of the region's natural areas.
  • The Chickamauga Chase
    Visit this site to learn about the Chattanooga Track Club's oldest race event, held annually at the Park's Chickamauga Battlefield and benefiting Friends of the Park. A variety of races for all ages and fitness levels make this a true family opportunity for health and fun!
  • The Chickamauga Marathon
    The Chickamauga Battlefield Marathon is run through the nation's oldest military park. The event is presented by the Fort Oglethorpe Tourism Committee and is produced by the Chattanooga Track Club.
