Request for Proposals: Restoration work on the Ohio State Monument

The Friends of Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park are currently requesting proposals from qualified contractors to repair the Drummer Boy Statue on the Ohio Monument located on the Ohio Reservation on Missionary Ridge.  This project calls for the fabrication of two aluminum drum sticks, re-attaching the broken stone hand to the statue, and re-attaching the drum sticks to the stone hands.

The written proposal should include the following:

  1. Statements of work that explains how you will achieve the desired result.  Extra consideration will be given to elements that might help prevent future vandalism of this monument.
  2. A fixed price quote.
  3. A resume showing similar work you have completed.

Interested contractors should arrange for a site visit and meeting with the Project Manager:

Jim Szyjkowski, Chief of Resource Management

Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park

423-752-5213 X 121

Proposals should be sent ATTN: Jim Szyjkowsi, Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park, PO Box 2128, Fort Oglethorpe, GA 30742 by March 28, 2014.

All work on this project must be successfully completed by May 9, 2014.
